In the 1989 sports fantasy film, Field of Dreams, Kevin Costner’s character is famously told, “If you build it, he will come” by a mysterious whisper in the middle of a corn field in Iowa. Often misquoted as “If you build it, they will come,” for some the phrase has come to mean that all you need to achieve success is to provide a venue or platform and all your dreams will come true.

However, we all know that simply creating a physical manifestation of an idea doesn’t guarantee people will use it, buy it, or visit it. So, the phrase really means that if you put effort and belief in the success of a project into that project, it's more likely to succeed.
